Scientist at Fraunhofer IWM
Adham Hashibon received his PhD in Physics from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in 2002 in the field of computational material science and engineering. His main research interest is the development and application of integrated open simulation environments that allow coupling and linking of all models on all scales to better understand and design novel materials and systems. Currently his main research interests include development of ontology of materials modelling, metadata and standardization in materials science and the applications of materials informatics to better utilize results of materials modelling and characterization. Since 2014 he is an active member of the management board of the European Materials Modelling Council (EMMC, http://emmc.info) and is active in a number of EU actions both as coordinator and member (SimPhoNy, FORCE, EMMC-CSA) promoting interoperability and utilization of integrated materials modelling in industry.
Main fields of interest
Materials Science, Materials Informatics, Multiscale Modelling, Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME), Open Simulation Platforms, Soft Matter Physics, Solid-Liquid Interface, Materials Modelling Ontologies
