Director Cooperative Innovation Projects Business Unit Security & Connectivity NXP Semiconductors Germany GmbH

Director Cooperative Innovation Projects at NXP Semiconductors in Germany, organizes and manages for the NXP Security and Connectivity Business of NXP the engagement in national as well as international collaborative projects and is heading an according innovation department. Besides he is taking care of university relations for this part of the NXP.

Georg owns an engineering diploma in electronics (Dipl. Ing.) which after first short experiences in smaller companies led him to Philips Semiconductors in Hamburg. Within more than 30 years with Philips, today NXP Semiconductors, he was able to build experiences in such different areas as chip and system design, customer support, logistics, project management and international product marketing. Before moving back to Hamburg, he has been managing marketing groups for over 13 years acting in as different market segments as identification, displays, audio and MEMS technology. Those assignments also gave him the opportunity to gather experiences working and living abroad in Taiwan, England and the Netherlands.

Besides his current assignment Georg Menges is representing NXP Semiconductors Germany in different industry consortia (BitKom, ZVEI, IVH/BDI, national Platform Industrie 4.0, and others).

Furthermore Georg is active as evaluator and technical expert as well in the EUREKA Cluster Program CATRENE as well as in its follow-up program.
